TREASURER'S REPORT - 2007 TOUCH OF TARTAN BALL

Once again the Touch of Tartan Ball was a sell-out and raised a record-breaking ££128,000 for Children 1st.

This fantastic figure was achieved through generous support from individuals and local businesses who supported the event through donations of auction and tombola prizes, hosting of tables and sponsoring various elements of the event. The generosity of those attending on the night helped to swell the figure as they entered into the spirit of the event at the tombola, purchasing tickets for the Banchory Bangle and with some lively bidding for the fantastic auction prizes.

The funds raised by the Ball help CHILDREN 1st to continue to undertake its valuable work in helping to keep children safe in so many ways, for example £10,000 could pay for the annual costs of providing an abuse recovery outreach service to children and families living in remote parts of Scotland who are not able to access this vital service because of their isolation.

The committee are delighted with the sum raised and would like to thank everyone who helped to make this year's Ball such a success.
